COMPANY
History
TDD was born in Bologna in 1985. From the beginning TDD established
the reputation to supply high quality products with the latest technology.
The first official debut of a TDD ECU was in 1986 on a Formula 3 car,
followed by another ECU controlling a Lamborghini engine in a race
boat competing for the Offshore Championship in 1987.
In February 1997, Walbro Engine Management acquired
TDD and changed its name to Walbro TDD.
The corporation was know worldwide
as the leading supplier of carburetors for small engine applications,
and as a highly competitive supplier of ignition products, and mechanical
fuel system components such as throttle bodies and fuel pumps.
In October 2002, Walbro TDD changed its name to Walbro Italy to conform
to the corporation standards of Walbro Engine Management.
In spite of the general name change, the well known Walbro TDD logo
was maintained in some areas of the racing industry.

applications of motorcycle, automotive, and marine engines.
